Description
North Philadelphia’s Robert Rahmeek Williams, better known as Meek Mill, is no stranger to adversity and triumph. Meek Mill was close to family members including his beloved grandmother and uncle, Grandmaster Nell, a pioneer in Philadelphia’s hip-hop scene, for support and inspiration to channel his emotions into music.
At the age of 12 and following a street battle loss to neighboring rappers, Meek decided to take rap seriously, even forming a short-lived group called BloodHoundz. Following the limited run with the group, Meek decided to venture on his own, quickly becoming one of Philadelphia’s hottest underground rap artists.
